It is just to relax in the sand and warm waters of the tip island of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Climb the stairs and visit the chapel that has as patron saint the same amazing view. The Lençóis Maranhenses sand dunes are located on the eastern coast of Maranhão. The tour departs from the municipality of Barreirinhas which is the main gateway to this fantastic natural beauty. The dunes span from the coast to 15 miles inland, and in between the sand dunes are countless clear lagoons. We visit one of the different lagoons depending on time of year: Lagoa Azul (May to August) or Lagoa Esperança (September to April).
