I had a delightful experience at Playa De Este beach near Havana, earning it a solid 4/5 rating. Being from Florida, I have had the privilege of enjoying some of the most beautiful beaches along the coast, so I'm quite picky when it comes to beaches. As a passionate beach lover and reviewer, I visited this beach in May, just before the peak season, and was pleased to find that it wasn't too crowded or dirty.
I hopped on the bus route and made my first stop at Santa Maria, but I would recommend another stop where there are hotels and more food options. The beach I was at was "sold out" of food and most drinks, except for lobster, which I wouldn't recommend ordering while sunbathing. However, I don't think any of the stops along the strip are significantly better than another, but I do believe that accommodations may be better at another spot.

Caledonia Beach holds a special place in my heart, as it has given me some of my most cherished moments and memories. This serene haven is a hidden gem, with a peaceful atmosphere and a scarcity of tourists. The local cuisine is delectable and adds to the overall charm of the place. However, the only downside is the occasional lack of electricity and the presence of mosquitoes. Despite these minor issues, Caledonia Beach is a tranquil oasis that I would recommend to anyone seeking a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

For over a decade, our family has been returning to this breathtaking beach destination. It's a haven for children with its shallow entrance and reliable safety measures. Whether you're gazing out from the water or lounging on the shore, the view is simply stunning. Just a word of caution, about 7 meters from the shore, watch your step in the grass to avoid the prickly sea urchin. Thankfully, the coral reefs protect the shore from waves, making it a perfect spot for swimming and exploring the diverse ocean life. It's quite a sight to see fish follow us around, and while some people feed them, we prefer to offer them a healthy snack. Overall, this beach is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone in the Holguin area. #cubaswimming #holguin #kidssafe

The waves were just the right magnitude for frolicking and swimming, and the beach was not overly congested. For over a decade, our family has been returning to this breathtaking beach destination. It's a haven for children with its shallow entrance and reliable safety measures. Whether you're gazing out from the water or lounging on the shore, the view is simply stunning. Just a word of caution, about 7 meters from the shore, watch your step in the grass to avoid the prickly sea urchin. Thankfully, the coral reefs protect the shore from waves, making it a perfect spot for swimming and exploring the diverse ocean life. It's quite a sight to see fish follow us around, and while some people feed them, we prefer to offer them a healthy snack. Overall, this beach is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone in the Holguin area. #cubaswimming #holguin #kidssafe
