Love this beach! It is a more quiet beach (except on weekends, when parties tend to happen). In my opinion, to becomes prettier the further west you go, and ends in a quiet cove. It has a number of beach restaurants where you can grab a quick bite for lunch, and one of my favourite places for pizza is down near the west end (Chiringuito). It is a quieter area to rent on, and is usually our choice on Airbnb.

I had the pleasure of visiting this beach back in 2014 and was immediately smitten. However, I must admit that it wasn't as pristine as it is now. Fortunately, Dominican Tourism has taken charge of ensuring the cleanliness of the beach, and it is now a true gem. The ban on motorcycles and cars has also made a significant impact in reducing littering.
This is the perfect spot for a peaceful day during the week, with a lovely one-kilometer beach walk in either direction. And what better way to cap off the day than with a delicious meal of fresh fish and veggies, served with platanas and a classic Brugal beer. It's an absolute must-try!
So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of this beach. And don't forget to keep it clean for future visitors. If you haven't already, make sure to explore Cabrera too!

Oh, the crescent-shaped beach with its magnificent waves on the west and a serene water cove on the east! It's like having the best of both worlds. And let's not forget the walking path that's lined with a plethora of restaurants, making it the perfect spot for a day out in Las Terrenas. It's almost as if the beach is saying, "Come for the waves, stay for the food." This beach is absolutely fantastic. It offers plenty of shade to relax under and the sea is stunningly calm, making it perfect for swimming. Although there are no restrooms available, you can always give a small tip to the hotel next door and use their facilities. Allow me to share with you my experience of the beach, starting with the not-so-great aspects. Unfortunately, a portion of the shoreline is littered with trash, which detracted from the overall cleanliness of the beach. Additionally, the only available facilities are the parking lot and the staircase leading down to the sand. While there is a bathroom near the parking area, it appears to be neglected, and the staircase is missing a few steps at the end, requiring a detour to reach the beach.
But let me tell you about the hidden gem of this beach. If you venture to the far right of the beach from the staircase (even crossing a small part of the beach through the waves), you'll find yourself in a tropical paradise. This secluded corner of the beach is spotless, and you can find a dry spot on the rocks to bask in the sun. During the three hours we spent there, we didn't encounter another soul, making it an incredible and unforgettable experience.

What a Hidden Gem! This beach in the Dominican Republic is definitely one of my favorites. The best part is that it's not overcrowded with tourists and there are only a few locals around. The water is crystal clear and the combination of sweet river water meeting salty ocean water is simply breathtaking. I had the pleasure of visiting with my family and we didn't want to leave. There's a small island nearby that you can swim to if you're a good swimmer, and it's surrounded by lush trees that offer shade and a peaceful atmosphere. Just be aware that there are a few dogs around looking for food, but they're harmless and will leave you alone if you tell them to. I couldn't resist feeding them all, and it was a fun experience for all of us.

Allow me to share with you my experience of the beach, starting with the not-so-great aspects. Unfortunately, a portion of the shoreline is littered with trash, which detracted from the overall cleanliness of the beach. Additionally, the only available facilities are the parking lot and the staircase leading down to the sand. While there is a bathroom near the parking area, it appears to be neglected, and the staircase is missing a few steps at the end, requiring a detour to reach the beach.
But let me tell you about the hidden gem of this beach. If you venture to the far right of the beach from the staircase (even crossing a small part of the beach through the waves), you'll find yourself in a tropical paradise. This secluded corner of the beach is spotless, and you can find a dry spot on the rocks to bask in the sun. During the three hours we spent there, we didn't encounter another soul, making it an incredible and unforgettable experience.

I had the pleasure of visiting this beach back in 2014 and was immediately smitten. However, I must admit that it wasn't as pristine as it is now. Fortunately, Dominican Tourism has taken charge of ensuring the cleanliness of the beach, and it is now a true gem. The ban on motorcycles and cars has also made a significant impact in reducing littering.
This is the perfect spot for a peaceful day during the week, with a lovely one-kilometer beach walk in either direction. And what better way to cap off the day than with a delicious meal of fresh fish and veggies, served with platanas and a classic Brugal beer. It's an absolute must-try!
So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of this beach. And don't forget to keep it clean for future visitors. If you haven't already, make sure to explore Cabrera too!

Love this beach! It is a more quiet beach (except on weekends, when parties tend to happen). In my opinion, to becomes prettier the further west you go, and ends in a quiet cove. It has a number of beach restaurants where you can grab a quick bite for lunch, and one of my favourite places for pizza is down near the west end (Chiringuito). It is a quieter area to rent on, and is usually our choice on Airbnb.
