A place where one can bask in the sun and soak up some rays, while feeling the sand between their toes. This particular beach is quite the gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. And if you're lucky enough to visit on a weekday, you'll find it to be quite the peaceful spot - no crowds to contend with! The sand is soft and white, perfect for building sandcastles or just lounging around. And if you're looking for a little respite from the sun, there's plenty of good shade to be found. All in all, a lovely spot for a day at the beach.

I am hesitant to divulge my thoughts on this beach, as I fear it may attract too many people and lose its charm. While it may be hailed as a pristine destination, it is not without its faults. The artificial barrier that shields the shore from rough waves has created a stagnant, shallow pool of water that lacks any excitement. The sand, while white, is almost too perfect and seems to have been manufactured rather than naturally occurring. The presence of vendors hawking their wares and renting out chairs detracts from any sense of relaxation, and the constant noise of their chatter is an unwelcome distraction. Despite all of this, we found ourselves unable to leave the water, which was the only redeeming quality of this overrated beach.

If you're looking for a spot to drag your family to, then this beach in Barahona is definitely worth a visit. The scenery is breathtaking and the grub is scrumptious. The locals are a friendly bunch too. However, I'm not going to give it a perfect score because the lavatories could use a little extra attention. Plus, the tables are a tad too close for comfort, especially since COVID-19 is still out there lurking. But, if you can look past those minor grievances, then this is definitely a place you don't want to miss out on when you're in the Dominican Republic.

Located in the southern region of Baní in the Peravia province of the Dominican Republic, this beach is absolutely stunning. While it can be accessed by sea, reaching it by land can prove to be a bit challenging as a 4x4 vehicle is necessary. To get there by land, one must travel along the coast after passing the Dunes, Salinas beach, and Punta Salinas.
Unlike other beaches, this one doesn't have any waves, and the water gets quite deep after walking just 10 or 15 meters. While there isn't any natural shade, you can bring your own beach umbrellas. However, be aware that mosquitoes are present, so it's best to use insect repellant.
As this place is fairly isolated, it's recommended to visit in a group.

A place where one can bask in the sun and soak up some rays, while feeling the sand between their toes. This particular beach is quite the gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. And if you're lucky enough to visit on a weekday, you'll find it to be quite the peaceful spot - no crowds to contend with! The sand is soft and white, perfect for building sandcastles or just lounging around. And if you're looking for a little respite from the sun, there's plenty of good shade to be found. All in all, a lovely spot for a day at the beach.

I am hesitant to divulge my thoughts on this beach, as I fear it may attract too many people and lose its charm. While it may be hailed as a pristine destination, it is not without its faults. The artificial barrier that shields the shore from rough waves has created a stagnant, shallow pool of water that lacks any excitement. The sand, while white, is almost too perfect and seems to have been manufactured rather than naturally occurring. The presence of vendors hawking their wares and renting out chairs detracts from any sense of relaxation, and the constant noise of their chatter is an unwelcome distraction. Despite all of this, we found ourselves unable to leave the water, which was the only redeeming quality of this overrated beach.

Its a very nice beach, strong wind and waves, lpts of people, clean and nice bathroom than the others i have seen before. Well organized stores and good food. The beach is full of stones but clean water, a little bit salty and theres a stream river besides it. Love it and i will go again.

If you're looking for a spot to drag your family to, then this beach in Barahona is definitely worth a visit. The scenery is breathtaking and the grub is scrumptious. The locals are a friendly bunch too. However, I'm not going to give it a perfect score because the lavatories could use a little extra attention. Plus, the tables are a tad too close for comfort, especially since COVID-19 is still out there lurking. But, if you can look past those minor grievances, then this is definitely a place you don't want to miss out on when you're in the Dominican Republic.

Located in the southern region of Baní in the Peravia province of the Dominican Republic, this beach is absolutely stunning. While it can be accessed by sea, reaching it by land can prove to be a bit challenging as a 4x4 vehicle is necessary. To get there by land, one must travel along the coast after passing the Dunes, Salinas beach, and Punta Salinas.
Unlike other beaches, this one doesn't have any waves, and the water gets quite deep after walking just 10 or 15 meters. While there isn't any natural shade, you can bring your own beach umbrellas. However, be aware that mosquitoes are present, so it's best to use insect repellant.
As this place is fairly isolated, it's recommended to visit in a group.
