This beach, located north of Piha Beach, is incredibly beautiful and secluded, surrounded by hills and cliffs. On the north end of the beach, there is a large cave that offers a great opportunity for exploration.
The beach has black sand, which can become scorching hot under the sun. It is advisable to wear sandals or shoes and bring a towel to sit on.
Accessing this beach is not easy, but there are two ways to reach it from Piha. One option is to take the Marawhawa trail from north Piha road, located at the northern end of Piha Beach. After walking for approximately 10 minutes, you will reach the White trail, which will lead you to Whites Beach after a 45-minute hike.
Alternatively, you can drive north on Piha road for about 10 minutes until you reach Anawhata road. Turn left onto Anawhata road and continue driving for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the Rose trail parking area. From there, it is a downhill walk of about 30 minutes to Whites Beach. Although the steep walk back up may be a bit longer and more challenging, it is definitely worth it!
Anawhata路旁隐藏着一个美丽的海滩。景色绝对惊艳,但值得注意的是下坡路很陡,而上坡更具挑战性。不过,努力绝对是值得的,因为这里的景色令人难以置信。
