A mini "Abel Tasman" experience! It takes about 30 minutes to walk down and around 40 minutes to walk back up.
As others have mentioned, the beach is quite secluded and absolutely stunning! The walk is definitely worth it.
We made the trek in jandals, but walking shoes might have been a better choice!
What a stunning beach! As someone who isn't very fit, the walk back up the hill required frequent breaks, but it was certainly doable. We walked down and back, and the descent was much easier. The entire trip took us about 1.5 hours, including a short rest at the beach.
I wouldn't recommend swimming there due to the rough waves and strong current.
Overall, the walk is absolutely worth it.
