La Caleta is far from my idea of a perfect beach - it's a city beach, and not the best one at that. The sand is not that great, and the space is limited. For a better experience, I'd recommend taking a 15 minute walk to Playa Santa Maria del Mar or Playa Maria de la Victoria.
The location is quite nice, with views of San Sebastian and Santa Catalina castles, and a good spot to catch a sunset. There's a beach club and beach chairs, and snacks are available. It's also shallow, making it safe for children, and there is a lifeguard.
But the tide could be a bit of an issue, as it can make the beach look less than desirable when it's out. Plus, all the small fishing boats moored there make it not the best place to swim - the footing could be quite slippery and rocky. All in all, La Caleta is not my top pick.

This beach had a stunning view of Cadiz and Rota, and the sand was so soft. The gentle waves were a delight and there were plenty of beach bars to grab a bite or a drink.

La Caleta is far from my idea of a perfect beach - it's a city beach, and not the best one at that. The sand is not that great, and the space is limited. For a better experience, I'd recommend taking a 15 minute walk to Playa Santa Maria del Mar or Playa Maria de la Victoria.

That place is situated in a picturesque bay of El Puerto de Santa Maria. The sight of the pristine sandy beach and the crystal clear blue water is simply breathtaking. If you get hungry, there are a few bars nearby to satisfy your appetite. Highly recommended for those seeking a memorable day out.
