This place is no gentle stroll. It's a steep and winding path of sand and rocks, with steps to access it, but no flat areas in sight. I definitely needed my walking sticks, and had to take plenty of rest stops. It's a lovely secluded beach, but there are no facilities, not even a portable toilet. However, it does have a Virgin beach with no amenities. If you're fit enough to make the journey, it's worth it, but make sure you take drinks and leave before dark, as the steps up the rocks can be quite a challenge.

If you're looking for a real challenge, then Cuitedella beach is the place for you. It's a 3km hike with a rocky terrain and 200 stairs that you have to descend before you can even reach the beach. You'll need to be in good shape and have the right footwear if you're planning on making the trek. Fortunately, there are buses that can take you closer to the beach if you don't fancy the walk. Once you're there, you'll be rewarded with stunning views, crystal clear waters and plenty of fish. To make the most of your visit, set off early - we started walking at 7:30 and were already at the beach by 8:00.

The beach is lovely with a stunning view. There weren't many people around, just us and one other family. It was incredibly peaceful.

This beach is amazing - it's peaceful and perfect for snorkeling in shallow water. Just a tip: don't rely on Google Maps to find it. You'll need to park at Arenal de Son Saura and look for the trail starting just after the bar. The walk is an easy 30 minutes, suitable for everyone including children (we even did it in flip-flops).

If you're looking for a real challenge, then Cuitedella beach is the place for you. It's a 3km hike with a rocky terrain and 200 stairs that you have to descend before you can even reach the beach. You'll need to be in good shape and have the right footwear if you're planning on making the trek. Fortunately, there are buses that can take you closer to the beach if you don't fancy the walk. Once you're there, you'll be rewarded with stunning views, crystal clear waters and plenty of fish. To make the most of your visit, set off early - we started walking at 7:30 and were already at the beach by 8:00.

This place is the perfect place to relax and unwind in the summer heat. With its crystal-clear waters and wide expanse of sand, it's easy to see why it's so popular. Getting here is a breeze, whether you come by car or public transport, and it's especially crowded during July. After 11am, you won't find any umbrellas to rent, but there's plenty of room on the free beach. The dunes behind the beach are a sight to behold, and the nearby lagoon is a haven for wildlife. While there are no trees on the beach itself, you can find some shady spots in the area behind the sand to escape the midday sun.

Parking was tricky so I recommend parking up in the town and walking down the stairs on the cliff for access to beach.

Stunning beech the food/drink hut was closed but there is a guy going round with a wheelbarrow selling fruit and drinks. Amazing place to soak up the sun clear waters and amazing views out to sea. Good for snorkelling most importantly just stunning

My daughter and I had the pleasure of discovering Cala Rafalet while staying at Alua Sun Mediterranean (Las Palmeras). We got a bit lost along the way, but luckily we had Google Maps to guide us back. This secluded cove is a beautiful sight to behold, and my daughter spent her time exploring, snorkeling, and jumping off the rocks. I, on the other hand, found a rock to sit on and read. Although the beach is small, it is definitely worth the visit, even if you won't have it all to yourself. It's a hidden gem and the short walk is worth it.

That place is a lovely stretch of clear blue water and is great for families. There are plenty of sunbeds (costing 20.50euro for two) and loads of nearby restaurants and shops. There is also a car park close by. The waters are shallow and there is a lifeguard present for added safety. Additionally, the beach has basic amenities such as showers, although unfortunately these weren't working on the day of my visit.

This place is no gentle stroll. It's a steep and winding path of sand and rocks, with steps to access it, but no flat areas in sight. I definitely needed my walking sticks, and had to take plenty of rest stops. It's a lovely secluded beach, but there are no facilities, not even a portable toilet. However, it does have a Virgin beach with no amenities. If you're fit enough to make the journey, it's worth it, but make sure you take drinks and leave before dark, as the steps up the rocks can be quite a challenge.

If you're looking for a real challenge, then Cuitedella beach is the place for you. It's a 3km hike with a rocky terrain and 200 stairs that you have to descend before you can even reach the beach. You'll need to be in good shape and have the right footwear if you're planning on making the trek. Fortunately, there are buses that can take you closer to the beach if you don't fancy the walk. Once you're there, you'll be rewarded with stunning views, crystal clear waters and plenty of fish. To make the most of your visit, set off early - we started walking at 7:30 and were already at the beach by 8:00.
