I wouldn't necessarily say this was the most visually striking island as some suggested, but really nice to swim and snorkel and even go on a hike up to the hill. There were lifeguards looking over also. It was clean and even during the Monsoon season, the temperature was even more pleasant just to lie down on the sand. Plenty of lush shades + restaurants and rest rooms.

Fantastic stay at Koyao Bay Pavilions.
Location is excellent with beautiful quiet beach a very short walk away from our villa. The villa was very comfortable, smart and spotless. Ryan looked after us and any need and made the stay a magical experience.
An absolutely delightful experience. The entire team is lovely, always ready to help before and during our stay. The location, the tranquility, and the beauty of the houses are wonderful. The food is varied and delicious. We have nothing to add except thank you and well done!

We had such an amazing stay at Cape Kudu! We were travelling with an infant and they were so nice to him. After 9 days, we really felt part of the Cape Kudu family. If I could give more stars to service, I would. We are DEFINITELY coming back to this hotel.

It’s a really beautiful place. Like everyone says, bring your mosquito spray. We arrived about 4:30pm which was ideal timing to walk down and back comfortably before sunset. It’s a bit of a scramble down the cliff, someone has kindly installed bamboo poles to hang onto, which help a lot. If you’re really unfit I’d recommend finding something else to do.

Nopparat Thara Beach is a beautiful and peaceful beach with a completely different vibe from the busier parts of Ao Nang. The long stretch of coastline is perfect for a relaxing walk, especially around sunset. At low tide, you can walk surprisingly far out, which makes the experience quite unique.
The beach is spacious, scenic and generally feels less crowded, with beautiful views of the surrounding islands and limestone formations. There are also plenty of food stalls and local restaurants nearby. A lovely place to slow down, enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset.

The Beach is very empty and quiet. No boats. Almost no people. There are a lot of shells to collect. The Water is very shallow, which is ideal for families with little Children. Also there are two Bars where you can get drinks.
I went to the beach at high tide, but the route on the map wasn't correct; the beach entrance wasn't the same as shown on the map, it was closed. I went all the way to the end of the road, passing between the houses of local fishermen, to reach the beach. The beach was littered with plastic bottles. You can collect amazing seashells. You can even ride a motorbike on the sand.

Monkey Bay is a spot that really delivers. Peaceful, not crowded, with a wide beach and views that hit you instantly. Perfect if you want to escape the crowds and feel something a bit more raw and untouched.
That said, getting there isn’t for everyone. The easiest way is by scooter, but if you’re not confident riding one, be ready for a bit of a walk. It takes some effort, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it.

Stunning week here with 3 teenage daughters. Definitely worth the climb up the stairs if you can book the plunge pool rooms overlooking the beach - even better than the pictures! Recommend both cycling tour around the island, and also the tour where you go kayaking through mangroves - tour guides were excellent and friendly. Food was great, nothing too much trouble. Massages in the spa were superb - worth upgrading if you can (both “stress relief” and “back and shoulders” were excellent. My daughters also liked the honey body scrub). Also favourite with the girls was the “Batik” painting - perfect way to spend a couple of hours if you find yourself with a rain shower.
So this holiday won’t be the cheapest in Thailand, but for those who want to be immersed in nature and away from the crowds, this place worth every cent - I hope to be back one day!

Stunning week here with 3 teenage daughters. Definitely worth the climb up the stairs if you can book the plunge pool rooms overlooking the beach - even better than the pictures! Recommend both cycling tour around the island, and also the tour where you go kayaking through mangroves - tour guides were excellent and friendly. Food was great, nothing too much trouble. Massages in the spa were superb - worth upgrading if you can (both “stress relief” and “back and shoulders” were excellent. My daughters also liked the honey body scrub). Also favourite with the girls was the “Batik” painting - perfect way to spend a couple of hours if you find yourself with a rain shower.
So this holiday won’t be the cheapest in Thailand, but for those who want to be immersed in nature and away from the crowds, this place worth every cent - I hope to be back one day!

Monkey Bay is a spot that really delivers. Peaceful, not crowded, with a wide beach and views that hit you instantly. Perfect if you want to escape the crowds and feel something a bit more raw and untouched.
That said, getting there isn’t for everyone. The easiest way is by scooter, but if you’re not confident riding one, be ready for a bit of a walk. It takes some effort, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it.

I wouldn't necessarily say this was the most visually striking island as some suggested, but really nice to swim and snorkel and even go on a hike up to the hill. There were lifeguards looking over also. It was clean and even during the Monsoon season, the temperature was even more pleasant just to lie down on the sand. Plenty of lush shades + restaurants and rest rooms.
