One of the nicer beaches on the island but there was construction going on when we visited – possibly to make it more accessible but also maybe to make way for more bungalows & hotels. You can just about escape the noise if you walk down to the far end where there is plenty of shade.
This is the top beach on the island, and it's easily reachable by scooter. You can swim here unless it's at absolute low tide, and there are plenty of trees offering shade. The beach features proper sand with turquoise water and very few sharp stones.
A friendly elderly couple resides on the beach, diligently working to clear sea debris and maintain the beautiful nearby forest. Remember to bring your own water and snacks, but please take your trash with you when you leave. Arrive early to witness a stunning sunrise.
