Goodmans Bay is a picturesque destination that offers a perfect blend of a park and a beach. The shoreline stretches endlessly, providing ample space for a leisurely stroll, despite occasional seaweed deposits brought in by the tides. The beach runs parallel to the BahaMar, so it's a popular spot among vacationers seeking fun in the sun. Jet ski rentals and boat trips are readily available for those who crave adventure.
The park is equally impressive, with a well-maintained running/walking path that encircles the area. The inner part of the park is a lush green space, complete with a small children's play area. Although parking can be limited, I've always managed to find a spot.
While there have been reports of car break-ins, I've been fortunate enough to avoid such incidents. Overall, Goodmans Bay is a fantastic destination that offers something for everyone.

This beach is absolutely stunning and untouched, making it the perfect spot for a peaceful escape from the touristy areas. It cost us $5 to take a cab here from the cruise ships, and we arranged for the driver to pick us up at a specific time - he was prompt and reliable. Unfortunately, it's too far to walk. If you're interested in activities like kayaking or jet skiing, head to Goodman's Beach instead. However, if you're looking for a serene atmosphere, this is the place for you. We were able to snorkel right off the beach and saw some amazing sea creatures like a spotted ray and a large spiny lobster, in addition to plenty of fish. I would love to come back and help clean up some of the trash that we saw among the rocks and sea floor - it would be an easy fix. The water was crystal clear and absolutely beautiful.

This beach is great for swimming, as there are man-made sections in the water that provide sheltered areas. It's perfect for families and the sand is nice, although not completely powdery. Additionally, the beach has easy parking, clean monitored bathrooms, and food available on site, making it stand out in Nassau where these amenities are difficult to come by. Across the street, there is a small playground, unique climbing trees, and Fort Montague. The beach is quiet and relaxed with no one trying to sell cigars or beach chairs.

This beach is supposedly the "best" place to unwind, but let's be real, it's just like any other beach. The snorkeling is decent, but don't get too excited about the fish - they're just as plentiful on a cheesy boat tour. Sure, the underwater sculptures are pretty, but they're not worth the hassle of dealing with the oil slicks that inevitably float around on windy days. And even on calm days, you still have to deal with ropes getting in your way. The staff will clean you up if you get covered in oil, but it's not like they can do anything about the oil tankers lurking just around the corner. Honestly, it's enough to make you want to scream.

This beach is absolutely stunning and untouched, making it the perfect spot for a peaceful escape from the touristy areas. It cost us $5 to take a cab here from the cruise ships, and we arranged for the driver to pick us up at a specific time - he was prompt and reliable. Unfortunately, it's too far to walk. If you're interested in activities like kayaking or jet skiing, head to Goodman's Beach instead. However, if you're looking for a serene atmosphere, this is the place for you. We were able to snorkel right off the beach and saw some amazing sea creatures like a spotted ray and a large spiny lobster, in addition to plenty of fish. I would love to come back and help clean up some of the trash that we saw among the rocks and sea floor - it would be an easy fix. The water was crystal clear and absolutely beautiful.

This beach is great for swimming, as there are man-made sections in the water that provide sheltered areas. It's perfect for families and the sand is nice, although not completely powdery. Additionally, the beach has easy parking, clean monitored bathrooms, and food available on site, making it stand out in Nassau where these amenities are difficult to come by. Across the street, there is a small playground, unique climbing trees, and Fort Montague. The beach is quiet and relaxed with no one trying to sell cigars or beach chairs.

This beach is supposedly the "best" place to unwind, but let's be real, it's just like any other beach. The snorkeling is decent, but don't get too excited about the fish - they're just as plentiful on a cheesy boat tour. Sure, the underwater sculptures are pretty, but they're not worth the hassle of dealing with the oil slicks that inevitably float around on windy days. And even on calm days, you still have to deal with ropes getting in your way. The staff will clean you up if you get covered in oil, but it's not like they can do anything about the oil tankers lurking just around the corner. Honestly, it's enough to make you want to scream.
