I arrived at the beach around 10:30 on Saturday morning after sitting in traffic for 45 minutes and paying a $20 entrance fee. I parked in Lot D without any trouble, and the crowds weren't too bad for a weekend. The beach was clean and the waves were crashing hard. There were lifeguards on duty, and the restrooms and showers were busy. There was a burger truck and a Carvel ice cream truck, as well as umbrella and chair rentals available.
This beach is nice, but be aware that the tide can rise quite high and wash away your belongings. Additionally, there are times when there is no lifeguard on duty, and people are swimming far out in the ocean with sharks nearby.
