Plage de la Pointe Venus is located on the Pacific ocean and it is in the 7th place out of 19 beaches in the Windward Islands region 8.8 km away from its center, the city of Papeete. It is one of the beaches of Mahina settlement, just 1.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

"The beach is truly spectacular at sunset, with a local atmosphere. The black sand is like liquid chocolate and the water has a beautiful purplish tint. You can venture out quite far on the sandbar on the western side. At sunset, it's like walking into the sun!"
