Hauru Beach is located on the Pacific ocean and it is in the 7th place out of 19 beaches in the Windward Islands region 37.3 km away from its center, the city of Papeete. It is one of the beaches of Hauru settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand & rocks cover, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

"The beach is an excellent spot for snorkeling with calm water and plenty of fish. Although the coral may not be as vibrant as other areas on the island, it is still worth checking out. Additionally, there are showers available for use."

"The beach was great and offered some good snorkeling. While it's not particularly unique to find good snorkeling in Moorea, the beach itself was pleasant and had convenient facilities and showers for rinsing off. During our visit in a slower period and amid COVID, the beach still filled up quickly, so it may be difficult to find a spot during peak tourist season. Nonetheless..."
