Plage des tipaniers is located on the Pacific ocean and it is in the 5th place out of 19 beaches in the Windward Islands region 36.3 km away from its center, the city of Papeete. It is one of the beaches of Tiahura settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

"To get to the beach, just ask the staff at Tipaniers Hotel and they'll point you towards the public beach on the right. There's no need to pay anything to access it. If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a kayak for 8 euros to explore the bay and see some rays and sharks - it's truly an exceptional experience that you won't want to miss."

"Access to the beach is limited to hotel guests only. A daily fee of $15USD per person. Visitors must park in a dirt lot across the road and carry their beach gear down the driveway before paying the receptionists. Although advertised as the Kite/Wing beach, there hasn't been any wind during our stay so far."
