Piratininga Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 34th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 13.6 km away from its center, the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the beaches of Itaipuacu settlement, just 7.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, surrounded by the cliffs.
It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal.
