Ko Rap is located on the Gulf of Thailand (part of South China Sea) and it is in the 47th place out of 95 beaches in the Surat Thani region 71.4 km away from its center, the city of Surat Thani. It is one of the beaches of Baan Thong Krut settlement, just 12 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and white fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Ko Rap coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

Ko Rap (Surat Thani) is located outside the Baan Thong Krut settlement, which may cause some difficulties for travelers who stay far from the coast. However, the remoteness from the village is not always a bad thing. Lovers of quiet rest know, the farther the beach, the fewer crowds.

The beach stretches on the coast of the Ko Rap island and the correct question is not how to get to Ko Rap, but what mode of transport can be used to get to it, because this part of the coast is inaccessible by land. The beach can only be reached by water and you have to rent a boat to get there.

The owner was present and was one of the friendliest people we had met on our trip and we arrived before other large groups did so it felt like we had the entire little island oasis to ourselves! The drinks are well priced. It’s a super laid-back environment and the crystal clear blue waters ..."

"Perfect getaway island that is not crowded. It is VERY low key: hammocks and chairs. There is a small bar serving water, soda, and a few mixed drinks. Upbeat beach music (of course) that was a combination of Thai and Spanish music. There is absolutely nothing to do here but to enjoy the conversation and views - the best part of the trip! #travelthailand"
