Myrtiotissa beach

I lived there for 4 months in the early 70’s, sleeping under the olive trees on the top of the hill above, eating at a taverna owned by Spiro and Maria who had one daughter named Fadna. Everyone ate whatever Maria cooked, Spiro kept a tab for each person and gave us a shot of ouzo when we settled our tab. There were people from everywhere but only 2 of us from the US! We took showers in fresh water that came off the hillside onto the beach. I’m grateful I had that experience before it became developed!

Ipsos beach

We stumbled upon a magnificent beach that caught our eye while passing by and decided to stay. It's an ideal spot for families with children as it stretches for a long distance. Although the beach is pebbly, the water is crystal clear and turquoise, and after a mere 2 meters, the sand becomes the finest and softest white sand. The water remains shallow for quite some time, making it safe for children to swim. Kids can also enjoy an inflatable water park available at 10 euros per person per day. The beach is lined with restaurants and shops, and parking is available on the road. We discovered an enchanting Patisserie named Sugar nearby and savored some fantastic coffee there. The beach provides showers and changing cabins, and the water is notably warmer compared to the West coast of Corfu.

Glass beach

Diese Bucht ist der absolute Hammer, doch darf man auch den Weg dorthin nicht unterschätzen, teilweise muss man sich von Seil zu Seil hangeln, sportlich muss man auf jedenfall sein bei dieser Tour.

Chomi beach

This beach is supposedly the best on Corfu, but let's be real, it's nothing special. Sure, it's not crowded and there are no pesky shops or annoying music, but that doesn't mean it's worth the effort of getting there. You have to take a boat, which will set you back a whopping 70 euros for the day or 30 euros per person for a tour. And don't even think about bringing the kids - the waves are way too strong for them to handle. Save your money and go to a beach that's actually worth the trip.

Nisaki beach
8 Larisa Dumitru.

This tranquil and pleasant beach offers a unique experience with its rocky shorelines. While sand may not be the main attraction, the crystal-clear waters make up for it. It is advised to exercise caution when entering the water as it is deep from the second step. For those seeking adventure, boat rentals are available and there are a variety of dining options to choose from. However, if you plan to drive, be aware of the steep road leading to the beach and limited parking spaces. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available, but ordering from the bar is required. Overall, this beach is a hidden gem worth exploring for its serene atmosphere and stunning views.

Glyfada beach

This stretch of coastline boasts a seemingly endless expanse of soft, inviting sand. For those seeking a bit of added comfort, sunbeds are on offer at a reasonable rate ranging from 20-50€. However, if you choose to bring your own gear, there's plenty of space to spread out and soak up the sun. It's worth noting that parking comes at a small fee of 5€, but the convenience is well worth it. Overall, this beach is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a relaxing day by the sea.
