Railay Beach

The beach is really lovely and has a great selection of restaurants and bars. They offer some delicious vegetarian and vegan options. It's only accessible by boat and the last boat leaves at 5.30pm.

Ao Nang Beach

Typically, beaches located near bustling cities tend to be lackluster, but this particular beach is an exception. Stretching out for miles, it boasts numerous access points along the roadway. The far left end of the beach is particularly stunning. I found myself particularly enamored with visiting during the late hours of the night, when I could sit on a bench by the shore with a refreshing beverage in hand.

Pai Plong Beach

This beach is a sight to behold, and it can be reached with ease by taking the wooden path located behind The Last Fisherman Bar. However, during our visit, the water was not crystal clear, and hardly anyone was enjoying a swim. The sand is not the most pleasant either, and lying down exposes you to the unpleasant smell of dried dog feces. Despite these drawbacks, it is still a better choice than the unappealing and narrow beach located near the beach road in Ao Nang. Additionally, the view of the tree-covered rock is truly breathtaking.

Koh Lao Beach

This beach is a great spot for photography enthusiasts and the water is crystal clear, making it perfect for snorkelling. The island boasts two beaches in close proximity. However, the washrooms are in dire need of maintenance and cleaning.

When venturing to this beach, opt for the northern section as it remains unspoiled and untouched by commercialization. This area boasts lush trees where visitors can unwind in hammocks beneath the cool shade. The tranquil sea is invitingly warm, making it perfect for swimming and soaking up the sun. Unlike the southern portion, there are no beachfront eateries here, but the restaurants situated along the roadside offer a variety of delicious dishes. However, if you venture all the way to the northern end, be prepared for some noise from the departing ferries and ships. The southern three-quarters of the beach are quite narrow and are bordered by a sturdy stone wall running alongside the street.

If you're a fan of movies like Jurassic Park and King Kong, you'll definitely feel the same excitement as I did. The natural beauty here is truly breathtaking. You'll find towering rock formations, trees growing out of them to create a jungle-like atmosphere, and even sea caves to explore. If you're someone who loves adventure and nature, this is an experience you won't want to miss. Take a kayak out onto the sea, go for a swim, and enjoy a day filled with life.
