This is one of our preferred beaches to visit due to its spaciousness and beautiful shoreline. However, it's worth noting that the beach has a rocky shoreline and the waves can be quite powerful. To ensure safety, I made sure to bring water shoes and provided floaties and lifejackets for the little ones during our last visit. On our most recent trip (06/02/23), we noticed a sign indicating a water line break and that the bathrooms were out of order. However, we didn't encounter any problems when using the facilities.

We brought our kids here to play after it became too chilly to swim in the beach water. Unfortunately, the beach itself didn't have a playground, so we decided to bring them here for the first time! There's a playground tucked away in the woods, which is quite peaceful and allows the kids to play without many distractions. Additionally, there's a story book walking trail with numerous stopping points where you can read a page from the selected book of the week during your walk. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that there are signs outside the trails leading out of the playground cautioning about poison ivy, but there aren't any within the playground area reminding kids to stay away from the weeds because of it. The grill and pavilion area right next to the park was conveniently close, allowing us to prepare food while still keeping an eye on the kids playing. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our visit and would love to come back here again!
