Whaligoe Steps -
Whaligoe Steps
Absolutely humbling.
One walk up and down the steps makes you realise how easy modern life is. It is well worth reading up on the history of the steps before your visit to truly appreciate what this place is all about.
As a pensioner with a dicky leg I found the climb difficult but was so happy to not have to carry a fully loaded basket of fish back up with me on my back.
It was also fantastic to get off the motorbikes and use some other muscles on our journey around the NC500. Although doing the steps in full riding gear may have increased the effort needed to do it 🫣
