Chicken island Beach is located on the Andaman Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 33th place out of 75 beaches in the Krabi region 17.1 km away from its center, the city of Krabi. It is one of the beaches of Railay settlement, just 7.5 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

"Went by long-tail boat as part of the 4 island tour. It was a bumpy ride in the wind and rain. But once there and we got our snorkel gear out we especially enjoyed all the colorful fish swimming there. Because the weather was bad there weren’t too many tourists, and it gave us all the space to swim. The temperature of the sea was still very warm."

"Its a one of the attractions of poda island tour. The rock formation is looking like a head of chicken...so its called chicken island. Nearby ocean is having good corals and sea urchins. Nice place to see. Though we can see it only from the ocean .it looks good.ocean here have some sea currents so be careful if you know swimming then only jump in."
